We specialize in handling “hard to handle” dogs. These are dogs that may not like other animals, or have various behavioral problems such as incessant barking, severe anxiety, destructive behavior, fear, aggression, trouble transitioning from activities, dogs who don’t listen, are jumpers, and/or escape artists.
When we take a dog with behavioral challenges, we keep them in a separate area for them to play, both inside and outside. We have custom built rooms to house destructive dogs. The rooms have been designed so they can jump, but not escape. They are also able to scratch and chew without hurting their teeth or escaping. These rooms are very good sized. We provide spinning water and food bowls so if they are room or food aggressive, we can still care for them.
It is important to note that we do not keep our hard to handle guests “caged” or crated. They have a one on two ration and get to swim and play at the pool and splash park. They are able to sunbathe and play inside. They also get snuggle time just the same as every dog in the facility.
Depending on the dog, there may be a different cost for their boarding ranging from $40 – $80 per night depending on the situation and how many staff it takes at any point to handle them.
Disclaimer: We accept all breeds with the exception of wolf and wolf hybrid. If a dog has attacked a person in their past, or does not like to be handled at all, we are not able to accept them for the safety of our staff and other guests.
